SOUTHWEST DRAGONS FOOTBALL TEAM STRUGGLES DESPITE PRODUCING HUGE OFFENSIVE NUMBERS!

By Brett Wilson Sr.
District Games Could Change Season!  The Dragons have the top running back in District 28-6A this year, averaging over 6 yards per carry, plus have two other runners also averaging over 6 yards per carry! Jonathon Cruz leads the district with 889 yards and 10 touchdowns! Jonathon also has 2 receiving touchdowns! Tyrone Middleton has 452 yards with 4 touchdowns, and Reilly Riggs has 229 yards and 2 touchdowns.
This is not a one dimensional team, Bowen Crisp is the number two rated quarterback in District 28-6A, with 598 yards to help balance the Dragons attack.
Southwest has a 2-4 overall record so far, sitting in last place in the district. However, the final 4 games of the season could change things in a hurry, with the offensive firepower this team has available.
Three teams are 0-1, three are 1-0, with district play starting only one week ago. If the Dragons improve a little on defense, they definitely have the ability to win the rest of their games!
While making the playoffs may seem tough looking at the current record, it shouldn't surprise anyone if the Dragons not only make the playoffs, but improve and contend for a strong playoff run!
