SAN ANTONO--A state trooper shot and killed a driver near Von Ormy just after 11 p.m. Wednesday night.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner's office said Allen Pacheco, 32, died as a result of this shooting. The Texas Department of Public Safety told KENS 5 a shotgun was found in the rear seat of his vehicle.

The northbound lanes of Highway 16 were closed due to the incident. Traffic was backed all the way to Poteet as of 6 a.m. Thursday.
