     District 28-3A, the toughest District in Texas this year with three teams winning over 20 games each, selected every single Somerset starter for All District positions!
     Brett Wilson, senior, was selected First Team All District Pitcher. Brett led the league with 9 wins, while averaging almost 2 strikeouts per inning with 83 total strikeouts this year! Brett had a no hitter into the 5th inning during the playoffs against Navarro, and ended up with a complete game shutout victory. Brett batted over .300, was second on the team with 24 RBI's, and had 15 stolen bases. Defensively, Brett had a stellar year anchoring first base, making many highlight catches.
     Donny Perez, junior, was selected Offensive MVP of the District. Donny led the team in batting average with .467, and had a league leading 54 RBI's! Donny had a huge year at third base making a lot of big plays. Donny is a two time League MVP in addition to this years honors! Donny also turned in some outstanding pitching performances!
     Tyler Sollohub, senior, was selected First Team All District Pitcher. Tyler had 7 wins and was strong on the mound all year. While Tyler had a great year pitching, the amazing thing is, he is even better at catching. Tyler was a wall catching all season. Tyler batted over .300.
     Brandon Kerr, junior, was selected Newcomer of the Year. Brandon batted over .400 for the year, made tremendous fielding plays all season at shortstop, second, and outfield, and led the team with 26 stolen bases!
     Kevin Vasquez, junior, was selected First Team All District Outfield. Kevin hit over .300 this year and made many diving catches, with some running, over the top catches that were unbelievable! Even more amazing, Kevin returned from knee surgery to repair a completely torn ligament to All Star level play within one year! What an inspirational player!
     David Alaquinez, sophomore, was selected First Team All District Second Base. David made outstanding plays game after game, while batting over .300 for the season!    
     Koy Detmer Jr., sophomore, was selected First Team All District Utility. Koy played most of the year at shortstop, and batted over .400 for the year! Koy stole 21 bases this year!
    Justin Camarillo, senior, was selected Second Team All District Catcher. Justin made some big plays behind the plate, batted over .300, and turned in some huge pitching performances!
     Eden Rodriguez, senior, was selected Second Team All District Outfield. Eden made a lot of great catches in the outfield, catching some balls that could have been hits!
     Coach Donaldo Perez and his staff has now won 20 or more games in each of his first three years at Somerset High School!
